                 Wholy Hints

1 ~  Ben from Kodiak worked at Subway. He showed me how to add more moisture to the bread by simply placing a pan of water in the oven during the rise & baking process. Now that makes truly soft WONDER(ful), soft  bread! 2 ~ Throw some  WHITE rice in your mill to clean out your milling heads. Rice flour also  makes good baby food!

3 ~ BLENDER BLADES -  remove them using the bottom side of the Blender Lid. It works like a wrench. I just occasionally clean the blades. Need to refresh your blender gasket? I have them available. Can easily throw a couple in the mail to your door!

4 ~ After washing your BOSCH BOWL, place the small inside lid over the motor mount on the base to keep water from draining onto the metal drive, corroding it. After 8 hours or so, go ahead & place the lid on the bowl.

5 ~ FREEZE DOUGH or BAKED GOOD? No problem either way. Just let the dough thaw several hours, then shape into a loaf or rolls, whatever you desire.

6 ~ Dehydrate beets by blanching to remove the skins. Then grate or slice & dry. Whirl in your food processor to make your own beet powder. SAVE $$$!

· After making bread, snap the center post out of the bowl to clean the post, removing the dough from it.

· Before reattaching your Bosch Bowl to the base, put the center lid over the ‘motor’ mount to keep water from draining onto the connector, thus corroding it. Just sit the Bowl on the center lid for several hours until all the water evaporates.

'Living Life in Healthy Balance'

A heart breaking cancer diagnosis of friends, relatives, or a church prayer request, is almost a daily occurrence. If not cancer, some other degenerative ailment! Many if not most of these conditions are PREVENTABLE! Let’s be about the business of sharing the HOW TOs of Prevention. You know age old proverb,  An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. The cures these days are not something anyone wants to experience!

After perusing some nutrition books, this seems to be the common denominators, from my personal biased education….

1. A healthful, whole food, nutrient dense diet (mostly) ~ Eat REAL FOODS, not a package, box, or can of ‘belly fillers.’ Yes, it may take some time to prepare REAL meals, but make it a family project and  prepare several ‘freezer meals’ at once. Change your health by changing from processed, nutrient stripped…

· White salt  to ’colored’ salt, either pink Himalayan or Celtic with micro nutrients

· White sugar to our Org Evap Cane Sugar or other less refined sweetener

· Canola, vegetable, Crisco or other cheap toxic oil to Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, butter, Palm Fruit Shortening, and just added Sunflower Oil

· White, bleached, enriched flour to Whole Grain Flours, preferably soaked, cooked, fermented or sprouted.

Two books peeked my nutritional interest this summer, one written by a new customer of mine. WHOLEHEARTEDLY by Genice Fulton is a road map to simple, clean living with many easy recipes. Her second edition will include more on grains & Kangen water. After a couple of bread classes, she loves eating her own bread with soaked & dehydrated grains, of course. It had been several years since she could comfortably digest grains.

Vicki blessed me with a copy of  FOOD AS MEDICINE EVERYDAY Reclaim Your Health with Whole Foods. Written by two naturopaths, they offer common sense eating protocols. I appreciate a balanced regimen, eating all the food groups, making healthy choices. Bunch of good recipes. It is a great health resource, explaining the roles of many nutrients to combat health challenges.

Purchase both these excellent books online.

2. Drink plenty of WATER, preferably KANGEN restructured water. The book, CONFESSIONS OF A SKEPTICAL PHYSICIAN, truly explains the health benefits of Kangen water from a doctor/nutritionist perspective. As a nutritionist, he knew the properties of food to fix health issues. As a physician, he was extremely skeptical about the ability of water to change health. After examining the science behind the water, he realized the truth. He is now totally on board. We have this book here. Also visit our website, www.akhealthsuccess.com for details.

3. EXERCISE, my downfall, to keep body in shape & heart pumping!

4. REST, get adequate sleep.

5. LESS STRESS, manage stress. Easier said than done.  Having the peace of God through prayer is the best way to peace of mind!
