Split Pea Soup

In a large pot, combine:


  • 2 quarts of water
  • 4 C split peas
  • 1/2 C vegetable stew blend
  • 1 chopped onion
  • some ham flavor or ham hock
  • salt to taste



Simmer on low heat until the peas are mushy, about an hour (about 20 minutes in the BRK Pot). Check frequently. Add more water if necessary. Serve with the 7-Layer Salad & corn bread.
