1-2-3 Gingerbread Granola

Warm in a pan:

 

  • 1 cup honey
  • 1 cup molasses
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup olive oil

 

Mix well:

  • 10 cups oats (I use half 7-grain rolled oats)
  • 2 cups hard wheat flour
  • 2 cups barley flour
  • 2 cups bran
  • 2 cups wheat germ
  • 2 cups ground flax seed
  • 2 cups Swiss Whey powder (or dry milk)
  • 2 cups sunflower seeds
  • 2 cups nuts
  • 3 tablespoons ground ginger
  • 3 tablespoons cinnamon

 

 
  Add warm liquid ingredients to the dry. Stir well, spread on cookie sheets and bake at 300 for 30 minutes, or until dry and browned, stirring every 10 minutes. This makes 30 cups and freezes well in Ziploc bags. High in fiber and protein – a great breakfast or snack. “Catch me if you can”
