ATTEND A CLASS ~ they are so much fun, with fabulous food & fellowship! Bread Class is $10/person bring your spouse or budding baker! (Delicious Date, Ladies!) other cooking classes are $15. JANUARY CLASSES

  • SPROUTED WHOLE GRAIN BREAD ~ Saturday, January 4th at 10 AM. Start 2020 with a renewed vision to eat more healthily. Experience sprouted grain, so easy to prepare & digest. We teach a simple method to incorporate into your kitchen routine. Most folks with gluten digestive issues transition easily to our sprouted baked goods. Enjoy bread, pizza, hot cereal & cinnamon rolls during our 3 hours together.

  • DEHYDRATOR CLASS ~ Tuesday, January 14th at 6 PM. Going through the basics on drying grains,       beans, seeds, nuts, veggies; learn the benefits of preparing and preserving foods. Using our Sizzle Pots,               we’ll also whip up  several recipes from last spring’s POWERHOUSE PANTRY EVENT, Debbie’s originals, of course:

  • A Rye, Bean & Vegetable Casserole

  • Chickpea & Quinoa Salad

  • Ancient Grain Banana Bread

These recipes include several unfamiliar grains, a good excuse for me to step up & use them.

   Please note new fees for classes in my home: $20/person, $30/ couple, add children for $10 each.

ANNOUNCING NEW HOMESCHOOL COOKING CLASSES!

* Debbie of Wholy Homemade, Marchell of Amazing Grains, and I are partnering to provide Homeschool families with a series of HOMESCHOOL INFORMATIVE COOKING CLASSES.
        * Our mission is to feature fun foods, all kids will enjoy, while teaching cooking/baking skills. We also want to encourage health and nutrition featuring real food, Wholy Living’s specialty. These are true life skills, skills for a healthy life!  Taste the ‘take home’ samples from each class.
        * With Debbie’s teaching skills, expect full-fledged classes, complete with a notebook and homework. Add to the notebook each class. Get ready, your students will be ready to show off their newly acquired culinary skills. This will be time well spent!
        * Once each month, January through April, beginners meet in the morning and experienced bakers in the afternoon. Parents are encouraged to attend the class with your child.
        * The Menard Sports Center commercial kitchen can accommodate a good size group, but we are limiting the class size.

        * Call or email me to enroll your student(s). After January 7th, we will open registration to the local home school districts. If you pay us directly, add 2.5% sales tax. School district direct payments are exempt from Wasilla City taxes. Refunds available up to a week prior to class.
        * Our plan is to develop a full home ec cooking course, if these classes go well. Keep us in your thoughts & prayers.

 

 

 

 

 
   
 

Directions to 15091 Lazy Lady Lane  in Palmer:

Come to Palmer via the Glenn Highway. At the last light before heading to Glennallen, turn onto Arctic headed out of town toward the Butte, from Anchorage a right hand turn. Proceed about 3 miles across the Matanuska River to Clark Wolverine Road on the left. Turn up C W Road, following all the signs and general traffic pattern, go another 3 miles. Where Clark continues straight, turn left onto Wolverine Road. Go 1.5 miles to Lazy Lady Lane on the left. We are the 5th driveway on the right. Wholy Living signs should direct you right on in. Allow about an hour from Muldoon and 30 minutes from Freds in Wasilla except during the 5 pm rush hour traffic. If necessary, give us a call ~ 745-5639.
